Shipping and Returns
What are your shipping options?
US Shipping - Our boutique ships only to US orders! Please allow 1-3 business days for processing. Once your order is processed it will reach your destination in 5-7 business days. All orders are shipped USPS. Once your order is completed we will send you a confirmation email.
Free Local Pickup - We offer free local pickup at our boutique location in Buffalo New York. All orders placed before 1:00 pm EST are ready same day. We will give you a call when your order is ready to be picked up. Our pickup hours are Tuesday-Friday 12:00 pm - 5:00 pm. and Saturday 10 am - 4: 00 pm at 2943 Delaware Avenue Kenmore, New York 14217.
There may be additional delays due to weather and USPS exceptions that are beyond our control.
Lost Packages- If your package is lost, stolen or mis-delivered we will open an investigation with the shipping carrier. Please note this may take up to 2 weeks.
Once the investigation is complete, if your item is lost in transit or delivered to the wrong address we will replace your items or issue a refund if they are not available. However, if the shipping carrier determines the package was delivered to the correct address we are unable to issue a refund. We are not responsible for mis-delivered packages due to incorrect shipping information being entered by the customer. Please make sure all shipping info is correct before placing your order.
Please note that delivery times do not include weekends or holidays. Business days are Monday-Friday. Any delays due to USPS exceptions and weather related delays are beyond our control.
What are your International Shipping rates?
We LOVE our international boutique customers! For shipping to Canada, we have a flat shipping rate of $18 per order. For all other international countries, the cost and delivery time varies by the final shipping destination.
Please note, the customer pays duty and tax fees at the time of delivery. Our boutique offers free shipping to U.S. addresses only.
We are not responsible for any lost or stolen packages if and when delivery has been confirmed.
What is your Return Policy?
At Janie’s Emporium we are happy to accept returns, and will issue store credit for the amount of the item(s). Please review our full return policy below.
Returns are for store credit only! No refunds will be issued.
Items marked FINAL SALE may not be returned, refunded or exchanged
All returns/exchanges must be done within 10 days of order receipt.
Items must be unwashed, unworn, and with tags still attached. If items appear worn, have makeup or other stains, smells of smoke or perfume, your return WILL NOT be accepted and will be returned to you at your expense.
Damages must be reported within 3 days of receiving merchandise. Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or 716-573-6456 for assistance.
Items not meeting the above guidelines will be returned to you at your expense, after 15 days.
When will my return be processed?
Returns are processed within 5-7 business days of us receiving them. Please record your tracking information to see when it arrives.
We will send a confirmation email when your store credit is available.
How do I return my merchandise?
We offer a simple option to send back your return merchandise! Follow our easy steps for a hassle-free return.
1. Please review our return policy to be sure your return meets our requirements. Returns that do not meet requirements will not be accepted and additional postage will be paid to have them returned to you.
2. Place unwanted merchandise in a shipping safe box or envelope with original invoice included.

Please allow up to 7 business days for processing once your return is received. A confirmation email will be sent once the credit is available.
How does the exchange process work?
If you would like to exchange the same item for a different size, you may go ahead and place a new order for that item. You will receive free shipping from our boutique for the new item and we will issue a REFUND back to your original payment form for that item when your return is processed. All other returns are for store credit only.
Can I exchange my item for a different size?
Yes! We have two options you can take to exchange your item for a new size.
Our inventory moves quickly, so we recommend purchasing the new size now. Return the original size to us within 5-7 days of ordering for a refund.
Return the unwanted size to us, note the exchange on your invoice and we’ll ship the new one. A credit will be issued if the item has sold out.
Please be aware that sale items are final sale, and not eligible for returns or exchanges. We are making room for new items in the boutique!
How do I exchange my purchase for a different item?
If you’d like to exchange your purchase for an entirely different item, please send your return back. We will then issue store credit to you, making it easy for you to purchase your desired item.
